Vitamin Sea

Future Realities

What if Eelgrass could sustain future coastal communities
amid the climate crisis?

Swanage, Dorset, 2100

As the sea levels rise beyond the point of no return, infrastructure must adapt, and a balance must be struck between tradition and optimisation for humanity to survive. My response was the creation of a unique framework which will represent a one-of-a-kind closed-loop system: Grow, Harvest, and Eat. Responding, to the marine cultural traditions of the past.

Emmersive Dinning Experience

‘To accelerate change is to re establish a new environment’

Douglas McMaster Founder of Silo

Shoreditch, London

My response to the brand was to create a restaurant which could be manipulated by it’s users, never stagnant and constantly evolving to become a ‘third space’. Triggering my respose was the loneliness epidemic, by taking Silo’s zero watse narrative, sustainable skills would be taught while sustainable connections forged.

My response to the brief was to hand the space back to nature allowing for the importance of bats as bio diversity indicators to be celebrated.
By using ‘insertion’ as my design approach my concept explores the forms of bat wings extending from the building to invite the bats in.

I am a concept led and sustainability focused designer. Through design I like to explore our relationship to the natural environment, ecologies and how nature can be a stakeholder in design.

Education

Falmouth University

UAL Foundation Diploma Art and Design
Weymouth College

Grade:Distinction   2022-2023

Experience

Morgan Carey Architects
2025

Work experience at this architectural practice gave me the opportunity to develop my own brief for a live site. This enabled me to develop my work, supported by the practice architects, expanding my soft skills in critical thinking and technical skills to communicate my final design in ArchiCAD.

Student Representative
2023-2026

Forming an important link between the lecturing team and students, this position enabled me to further develop my organisation and communication skills. Attending formal student/lecturer meetings, including collating, presenting and receiving feedback, I used a supportive, empowering approach to ensure student views were articulated for the benefit of the course as a whole.

Live Projects
2023-2024

Live client briefs completed at Falmouth University including ‘The Ladder’, Redruth, a Grade II listed building involving an innovative community led design, and the ‘St Austell Market House’ a Grade II* listing involving significant heritage analysis.

Curator and PR - Exhibition - Weymouth College

A lead role in the curation of this exhibition and the implementation of its communications plan including writing press releases and conducting a live interview with BBC Radio Solent. All designed to raise awareness of this exhibition; a collaboration between Weymouth College, the Friendly Society of Artistic Labourers and Dorset County Museum.
